You will need this licence if you intend to deal in any listed taxon (specific groups of flora and fauna). This includes the taking, keeping, buying, selling, disturbing, processing, importing or exporting of listed taxon.

Listed taxon can be found in the resources below. This list of over 700 species of plants and animals classifies threatened species into three levels to reflect their risk of extinction: endangered, vulnerable or rare.

This licence may be granted subject to certain conditions including a requirement for record keeping and markings or tags to be applied to the affected flora or fauna.
