You will require this permit if you intend to deposit, discharge or dispose of any night soil, liquid mixture of night soil, liquid mixture of human waste, sewerage or excrement. You will also require this permit if you intend to deposit, discharge or dispose of such matter onto any land, or into any surfaced water or watercourse or drain.
A permit is not required when the place it is deposited, discharged or disposed of is:
- a premises that is subject to Environment Protection Authority Works Approval and Licence
- otherwise authorised by the Environment Protection Authority and your Council
- a sewerage system or an approved septic system.
