You will need this permit if you intend to install, maintain or repair fire protection equipment. There are two classes of permit:

  • Portable fire protection equipment - covers equipment including fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, fire hydrants and fire blankets.
  • Fire protection systems - covers systems including automatic fire and smoke detection and alarm systems, automatic fire sprinkler systems and fire hydrant systems.
