Permit to Move or Possess Prescribed Matter in a Quarantine, Infected or Protected Area - Tasmania

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to move or possess prescribed matter within a quarantined, infected or protected area. An infected area is one that is deemed likely to have a List A pest or disease and / or a List B pest or disease present and the pest or disease needs to be controlled in the area. Protected areas are declared by the Authority if it is deemed necessary to prevent the introduction of a pest or disease into that area. Prescribed matter includes:

  • any plant
  • any plant product
  • any new or used related package, which may have contained a plant or plant product
  • a vehicle
  • any new or used agricultural equipment
  • any soil
  • any disease agent.
