Permit to Take Wildlife - Tasmania

Description

You will need a permit if you intend to undertake activities with restricted (special purposes) wildlife, specially protected, protected or partially protected wildlife. These activities include:

  • to take and possess wildlife
  • to take and possess products of wildlife
  • to buy wildlife and products of wildlife
  • to sell wildlife and products of wildlife
  • to dispose of wildlife and products of wildlife

Take activities that may be authorised include killing, destroying, catching or injuring. A permit may also be issued for the destruction of products of wildlife such as eggs, nests, dens and burrows.
