Petroleum Production Licence - Tasmania

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to extract petroleum from submerged land in Tasmanian coastal waters. Tasmanian coastal waters extend for three nautical miles from the coastline of Tasmania. If you intend to undertake exploration activities outside this area, you will need to apply for a licence under the appropriate Act.

If you have a petroleum exploration permit or retention lease, you may apply for a production licence authorising you to recover petroleum from the area covered by your exploration permit or retention lease.
