Registration of a Staged Development Scheme - Tasmania

Description

You will need this registration if you intend to create, amend, consolidate or cancel a staged development scheme. This is part of a two-step registration process for staged development schemes, specifically:

  1. you will need to obtain a certificate of approval from the relevant council
  2. you will need to lodge your staged development scheme with the relevant state government agency.

The registration of a staged development scheme creates a staged development scheme for the specified property. A staged development scheme is a development involving the registration of a series of strata plans. Strata plans are property divided into lots (private property) and common property. The common property is managed by a Body Corporate, which is made up of all lot owners acting as a single body.
