You will need this endorsement if you intend to use land as a retirement village. Endorsement means that the Recorder of Titles will note the fact that your land is, or is to be, used as a retirement village on the relevant folio of the land titles register.
Retirement villages are a particular kind of accommodation in which:
- the majority of residents are aged 55 years or over or are retired from full-time employment
- residents are provided with accommodation and services, other than services provided in a residential care or aged care facility
- at least one of the residents paid an ingoing contribution that was not rent.
