You will need this licence if you intend to conduct a telecommunications-based gaming activity in Tasmania or from a Tasmanian business. Telecommunications include telephones, television, internet, and any other electrical or electronic device for communication at a distance. Gaming activities include sports betting, simulated gaming, betting exchanges, race wagering, totalizators and major lotteries.
You must specify each type of gaming activity you want endorsed as part of the licence application process. If at some point in the future you want to add further gaming endorsements to your licence, you must make another application to do so.
