Works Permit - Tasmania

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to undertake service or general works in a State road reservation. Service works include, but are not limited to:

  • gas or electrical connections
  • watermains
  • stormwater / culverts
  • pipework.

General works include, but are not limited to:

  • general roadworks
  • maintenance
  • pathways
  • vegetation management
  • fencing
  • structures
  • footpath and kerb works
  • traffic signal changes
  • speed limits
  • road humps.

Roads within the state road reservation are those that are a part of the state-owned road network. This network primarily consists of roads that provide connectivity between cities, major towns, rural catchments and key marine and air transport hubs.
