You must comply with this standard if you are an accredited person intending to issue a certificate of compliance to a place that stores or uses unsealed radioactive materials in a laboratory setting. Unsealed radioactive material refers to radioactive material that is not:
- permanently sealed in a capsule
- in a solid form and that is bound closely.
This standard specifies the requirements for the design and construction of laboratories and includes information on laboratories that house both ionizing and non-ionising radiation.
Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
