Accreditation to Install or Maintain Alternative Fuel Systems in Motor Vehicles - Victoria

Description

Only businesses with an Alternative Fuel Systems Assessment and Certification Scheme (AFSACS) agreement in place are approved to work on vehicles fitted with gas fuel systems. The purpose of AFSACS is to regulate and support industry involved in the installation, maintenance and repair of gas fuel systems in vehicles.

To be eligible for this accreditation, you must:

  • meet prior AFSACS site requirements
  • obtain public liability insurance
  • provide a National Police Certificate less than three months old.

It should be noted that under the new AFSACS system, the former AAFRB registration no longer exists. Businesses previously registered with AAFRB are no longer accredited to work on motor vehicles with gas fuel systems.
