ANZAC Day Race Meeting Approval - Victoria

Description

You will need this approval to hold a race on ANZAC Day, which is commemorated on the 25th April each year. No race or other event or any sports is allowed to commence before 1pm in the afternoon on that day.

Races covered include greyhound racing, harness racing, and thoroughbred racing.

All of the net profit generated by races on ANZAC Day must be paid to the ANZAC Day Proceeds Fund.

To be eligible for this approval you must submit an appropriate form and be appropriately authorised to hold a race meeting.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

You will need to provide a report of income and expenditure and details of any donations after the event, including details of where the profit was paid, or where the donation was paid. This is to be done within two months after the holding of the sports.
