There are legal restrictions on the provision of entertainment on ANZAC Day (25 April).
You will need this approval if you intend to provide entertainment and other activities on ANZAC Day. Restricted activities include:
- performances at which there are one or more performers
- showing films prior to 1:00 PM ANZAC Day at cinemas or other places to which persons are admitted after a donation or payment is sought from them
- any game exercise, pastime or contest usually on a ground to which people are admitted after any fee or donation has been sought from them
- any other entertainment prior to 1:00 PM on ANZAC Day to which persons are admitted after a donation or payment is sought or at a place that commercial business is carried on.
As a condition of approval, the Agency may direct that a portion of the net profit from the entertainment may be paid into the ANZAC Day Proceeds Fund.
