Approval of Adoption Agency - Victoria

You will need this approval to arrange adoptions or conduct negotiations relating to the adoption of children.

Only a non-profit welfare organisation may apply for approval as an adoption agency. A welfare organisation is an organisation that is formed for religious, charitable or welfare purposes, not for the purpose of trading or profit.

An approved adoption agency is authorised to organise adoption arrangements for Australian children only. Special approval is required to arrange international adoptions. International adoption is regulated by the Hague Convention.
