Aquaculture Licence - Victoria

Description

You will need this licence to process and preserve seafood so that it is safe to sell, sell seafood you have harvested from a vessel at the point of unloading or transport live seafood.

There are three types of licences:

  • abalone licence
  • blue mussels and other shellfish licence
  • fin fish licence.

The species of seafood you grow and harvest determines which licence you need.

  • 2 to 8 tonnes - $305.00
  • over 8 tonnes - $513.00.

Muscles and other shellfish licence: 

  • less than 50 tonnes - $171.00
  • 50 to 150 tonnes - $305.00
  • over 150 tonnes - $513.00.

Fin fish licence: 

  • less than 15 tonnes - $171.00
  • 15 to 60 tonnes - $305.00
  • over 60 tonnes - $513.00.

General Licence All

Licence fees vary depending on the annual throughput.

  • 2 to 8 tonnes - $610.00
  • over 8 tonnes - $1025.00.
