Licence to Operate as an Asbestos Removalist - Victoria

Description

You will need this licence to remove specific types and amounts of asbestos. There are two classes of licence:

  • Class A: permits the removal of friable and non-friable asbestos
  • Class B: permits the removal of only non-friable asbestos.

You are also able to apply for a restricted Class A or Class B licence.

Examples of items containing asbestos include asbestos cement sheeting, cement pipes, vinyl tiles, sprayed insulation, and asbestos-containing telecommunications pits and pipes, pipe lagging, millboard and gaskets.

  • submit proof of experience and copies of training certificates in asbestos removal
