You will need this permit if you intend to build or landscape in a way that may impact council owned property. The types of activities that may need this permit include:
- construction of a dwelling
- demolition of a structure
- installation of an in-ground swimming pool
- commercial / industrial / retail development with cost of works $40,000 or more
- extension / additions / alterations to a dwelling with cost of works $40,000 or more
- construction of an outbuilding with cost of works $40,000 or more
- landscaping and other works posing a risk to public land or assets
- access to a site via a Council park or reserve
Your council may require you to pay a deposit or bond prior to commencing works.
