Assisted Reproductive Treatment (ART) Provider Registration - Victoria

Description

You must be registered to provide Assisted Reproductive Treatment (ART) in Victoria. ART refers to the techniques used to achieve pregnancy by artificial or partially artificial means. ART is mainly used in infertility treatment, but it may also be used in fertile individuals or couples for genetic reasons, such as reducing the chance of a child inheriting a genetic disease or abnormality.

ART includes the following technologies:

  • ovulation Induction
  • artificial Insemination (also known as Intrauterine Insemination)
  • donor Insemination
  • in-vitro fertilisation (IVF)
  • intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
  • pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD).

To be eligible for this registration, you must hold accreditation with the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee (RTAC), which is part of the Fertility Society of Australia (FSA).
