You will be required to comply with Australian Design Rule 35 if you intend to manufacture a motor vehicle that is a:
- forward control passenger vehicle
- off road passenger vehicle
- passenger car.
These motor vehicles must be fitted with a compliant system of electronic stability control.
This Australian Design Rule (ADR) is referred to in the Catalogue of ADRs (3rd Edition) as ADR 35/03 Commercial Vehicle Brake Systems. The function of this ADR is to specify braking requirements under normal and emergency conditions.
