Australian New Zealand Standard AS / NZS 3820:2009 Essential Safety Requirements for Electrical Equipment - Victoria

Description

Note that this standard has been updated and you will need to meet the requirements set out in AS/NZS 3820:2020.

You are required to comply with this Standard if you wish to construct electrical equipment. This equipment can be anything from children's toys to medical equipment.

This Standard ensures that the electrical equipment is safe and does not endanger people, animals or property. Equipment that is within the scope of this Standard is designed for use with a supply or output of less than 1000 Volts for alternating current and 1500 Volts for direct current.
