Australian Standard AS 2187.2:2006 Explosives - Storage and Use - Use of Explosives - Victoria

Description

You will need to comply with this standard to manufacture or use explosives. This standard specifies requirements for the safe use of explosives including the mixing, testing, initiation and firing of charges.

All explosive mixtures must be manufactured according to the requirements of this standard. Shotfirers must use explosives only in accordance with this standard.

This standard does not apply to the following:

  • safety ammunition
  • propellant powders
  • pyrotechnics, including fireworks, rockets, dog signals or the like
  • purpose-designed and manufactured military explosives.
