You will be required to comply with this Standard if you intend to undertake gas fitting work on an appliance or gas installation.
There are two parts to this Standard, that specify requirements and means of conformance for:
- part 1 (AS 5601.1) - design, installation and commissioning of gas installations that are associated with the use or intended use of fuel gases such as natural gas, LP Gas, or biogas
- part 2 (AS 5601.2) - design, installation, repair, alteration, modification, replacement and commissioning of LP Gas installations in caravans and boats for non-propulsive purposes.
