Specialist e-Cigarette Retailing Premises Certificate - Victoria

Description

You will need this certificate to display e-cigarettes and their accessories for sale. Certification will allow you to classify your retail premises as a 'specialist e-cigarette store'.

There are strict requirements as to how e-cigarettes and their products can be displayed as these devices are classified as 'tobacco products' and must only be marketed to an adult audience. Please note that you will require a separate approval to sell e-cigarettes.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this certificate you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • predominately sell e-cigarette products
  • have your premises separated from other retail premises by a wall
  • not sell other products at your premises such as dairy, bread and bakery products
  • use price boards and price tickets as prescribed by legislation
  • have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • meet the criteria for certification outlined in the application.

Your premises will be visited by Authorised Officers from your local council to determine if your claim is genuine.
