Bus Driver Accreditation - Victoria

Description

You will need this accreditation to become a bus driver and operate commercial bus, mini bus or local bus services.

Driver accreditation is required for drivers operating commercial:

  • route services like public or charted school buses
  • demand responsive services
  • tour and charter operations
  • courtesy bus services seating more than 13 passengers.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this accreditation you must:

  • have a full, current Victorian driver licence 
  • have held a full Australian or New Zealand driver licence for at least six months 
  • be medically fit to drive a bus 
  • pass a national criminal history check.

Duration

Accreditation will not expire provided you continue to meet the eligibility requirements.
