Description

You will require this permit if you intend to camp, keep or use a caravan on private land or council land that is not part of designated camping ground or caravan park.

Please note that it is an offence to camp or sleep in a vehicle overnight whilst the vehicle is parked on a road.

Camping is prohibited on council land. There are a number of designated camping areas within the shire.

If you are planning to camp on private land for more than 28 days within a 12 month period, you need to check whether a planning permit is required.

Camping in exchange for money is not permitted on private land, unless the relevant planning and other registration requirements have been met.
