Description

This Code outlines responsibilities, requirements and permitted circumstances for the debarking of dogs. Debarking is a surgical operation performed by a registered veterinarian to reduce the noise of a dog's bark.

This Code should be read in conjunction with the Act which prohibits debarking of dogs except in extreme circumstances and only on the advice of a registered veterinary practitioner.
