Code of Practice for the Private Keeping of Cats - Victoria

Description

You will be required to comply with this code if you intend to keep cats. The code applies whether cats are kept for personal companionship or if you operate a domestic animal business such as a pound or breeding or boarding facility for commercial breeding, display, bartering, exchange or sale.

The code outlines the minimum standards of accommodation, management and care appropriate to the physical and behavioural requirements of cats. It aims to promote better cat welfare by providing education and minimum standards for cat owners.

Please consult the responsible agency for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance (if any) that may be required.
