Code of Practice for the Sale and Supply of Memorialisation Goods and Services in Cemeteries - Victoria

Description

You will need to comply with this code of practice if you intend to sell, supply, establish or alter memorials in public cemeteries in Victoria. A memorial is a monument, tombstone, headstone, ledger, cenotaph, plaque or other method of memorialising a deceased person where that memorial is within a public cemetery.

This code of practice applies to suppliers of memorialisation goods and services if:

  • they are contracted by an individual who holds the relevant right of interment to establish or alter a memorial
  • they are contracted by the cemetery trust to sell or supply memorialisation goods and services.
