Code of Practice for Timber Production - Victoria

Description

You need to comply with this code of practice if you harvest timber in Victoria. This applies to the holder of a timber harvesting operators licence, a person who has an agreement with VicForests for the harvesting and sale of timber, as well as any other person who undertakes timber harvesting operations in a state forest.

Timber harvesting operations include:

  • felling or cutting trees
  • taking or removing timber
  • delivering or transporting timber to a buyer
  • road works and other works to support timber harvesting operations.

Timber harvesting operations may be audited on behalf of the Agency for compliance with the code of practice.
