You will require this accreditation if you intend to drive any type of commercial passenger vehicle or commercial / private bus in Victoria.
A commercial passenger vehicle is a vehicle that services the commercial passenger industry, offering unbooked and booked services for hire or reward. These include:
- community transport vehicles
- taxi-cabs
- private, tour and charter buses
- general or restricted hire cars
- special purpose vehicles
- ride-share cars.
If you are currently an accredited commercial passenger driver from another state or territory in Australia or New Zealand, you can apply for mutual recognition. Mutual recognition allows a skill or training to be recognised Australia-wide and aids the application process.
