Commercial Recreation Activity Licence - Victoria

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to provide a Commercial Recreation Activity (CRA) in a public space. Outdoor commercial recreation businesses include, but are not limited to:

  • skydiving
  • kiteboarding
  • dog training
  • sports academies
  • recreation classes facilitating sessions with 15-50 participants and/or heavy infrastructure.

Across the municipality, Council will only issue:

  • 1 skydiving licence, to be located at Moran Reserve Elwood
  • up to 3 kite boarding licences, to be located at West Beach St Kilda.

Additional information

All operators within scope of this policy will require a Tour Operator Licence Agreement which is approved by Council as the land manager, and DEECA as the landowner under the Crown Land Act 2009 (Lease and Licence Terms).

Applications will be assessed through an Expression of Interest (EOI) Process on an annual basis, timings will be provided on the Council Website. Applications will not be considered outside of this timeline.
