You need this registration if you intend to operate a domestic animal business. Businesses that need this registration include:
- animal shelters
- pounds
- pet shops
- commercial businesses for the rearing, training, boarding or breeding of dogs, cats or other common animals.
Owners of domestic animal breeding businesses must register the business and each animal belonging to the business that is over three months of age.
