You will require this approval if you intend to use an electronic monitoring system not already approved by the Agency. An electronic monitoring system ensures that all gaming operators comply with legislative gaming control requirements. This approval is for new systems or variations to current systems. A gaming operator or a monitoring licensee may apply for this approval.
A gaming operator is someone who holds a gaming operators licence.
The monitoring licensee is appointed to monitor the information from the electronic monitoring systems and ensure that gaming operators comply with requirements. As part of the Gambling Arrangements 2012, Intralot Gaming Services Pty Ltd has been appointed the sole and independent monitoring licensee to provide an electronic monitoring system. All gaming machines in Victorian venues must be connected to this monitoring system. The monitoring licence will be for a fifteen year term.
Please consult the responsible agency for more information regarding eligibility requirements.
