Endorsement as a Professional Engineer - Victoria

Description

You will need this endorsement to register and practise as a professional engineer in:

  • structural engineering
  • civil engineering
  • mechanical engineering
  • electrical engineering
  • fire safety engineering
  • any other prescribed area of engineering.

You may apply for endorsement at the same time as, or after, an application to register as a professional engineer.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

You will need to lodge an endorsement statement and pay an endorsement fee annually.

Unless otherwise specified, this fee must be paid at any time in the six weeks before the date the endorsement came into force and be accompanied by an endorsement statement.

Duration

Endorsement lasts for a period of up to three years.
