Fire Risk Management Accreditation - Victoria

Description

You will need this accreditation to audit and assess fire risk as an appropriately qualified professional. Professionals can include fire safety engineers, building surveyors or building inspectors.

This accreditation also:

  • recommends steps to minimise fire risk
  • assesses and reports on acceptable standards of fire safety
  • assesses and reports on specific settings in accordance with the Capital Development Guidelines - Series 7.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this accreditation, you must be an individual person. You may also need to provide the following documents with your application for accreditation:

  • copies of relevant insurances, such as Professional Indemnity (minimum $2 million), Public Liability (minimum $20 million) and WorkCover
  • a certified copy of your Building Practitioners Registration certificate or card issued by the Building Practitioners Board of Victoria
  • your resume
  • a National Police Certificate
  • Continuing Professional Development evidence.
