Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) - Victoria

Description

You may need to comply with this standard if you intend to manufacture or import hazardous chemicals.

The Globally Harmonised System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) was developed to provide a standard way to identify the physical hazards, health hazards and environmental hazards of chemical products, so that they can be safely used, handled and stored.

To be compliant with the GHS, you must ensure that hazardous chemicals have been labelled in accordance with this standard as soon practicable after they have been manufactured or imported.
