International Visitors Firearm Permit - Victoria

Description

If you plan to visit Australia to participate in an approved shooting activity in Victoria you must have an international visitors permit. Approved shooting activities include:

  • shooting competitions
  • hunting
  • use in primary production (farming)
  • display.

A permit is necessary for each visit and for each person who intends to use a gun while in Victoria. You will also need an import permit if you intend to bring your own firearm, ammunition, parts or accessories. You should submit both applications four weeks before your visit.
