Description

You will need this licence if you intend to act as a boxing or combat sports match-maker. A match-maker acts on behalf of a promoter to arrange professional contests between particular professional contestants.

The sports covered include:

  • boxing, meaning fist fighting
  • combat sports, meaning kickboxing or any sport or activity (other than boxing) in which each contestant in a contest or exhibition of that sport or activity is required to strike, kick, hit, grapple with, throw or punch the other contestant.

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • be a fit and proper person
  • have a current National Police Check
  • have sufficient experience in the industry as a trainer, contestant or promoter
  • have a good knowledge of professional contestants and their relative skills
  • have current insurance.
