Description

You will require this licence if you intend to manufacture, sell or supply any poison or controlled substance by retail. Special requirements apply to Schedule 7 substances as they have a high potential for causing harm to humans. These poisons include strychnine, cyanide and hazardous agricultural and veterinary chemicals.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

It is an ongoing requirement of this approval that you abide by all industry legislation and codes of practice, and provide relevant records and information as required by the authority, including ongoing records that knowledge and expertise on drugs and poisons be maintained.

Standing orders and poison control plans must be maintained. As a permit holder you will periodically be required to confirm compliance with the Poisons Control Plan and to submit for approval any proposed amendments to the Poisons Control Plan. You may also need to allow your premises to be inspected by the Agency.
