Major Event Licence - Victoria

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to hold a large-scale event that is likely to attract more than 5000 patrons and have a significant impact on:

  • enforcement
  • organisation of public transport and emergency services
  • the public safety and the amenity of the area where the event is held.

A major event licence authorises you to supply liquor during the event.

All events that are likely to attract more than 5000 patrons will be taken to be a major event unless the Agency believes that the event will not have a significant impact on the matters listed above.

Liquor must not be supplied on ANZAC day between 3am and 12noon.

To apply, complete the Major Event Licence application form.

Please consult the responsible agency for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance (if any) that may be required.
