To be eligible for registration you must:
- have completed a Certificate III in Meat Processing (Meat Safety) or equivalent
- submit a completed application form and any associated documents
- pay the application fee.
To operate a meat inspection service in Victoria you must enter into an agreement with the agency. The agreement will contain a range of conditions including a requirement to act independently and objectively when providing inspection services, and to maintain records as required by the agency.
