Meat Inspector Registration - Victoria

Description

You will require this registration if you intend to operate as a meat inspector at a PrimeSafe licensed facility. This authorises you to undertake work such as inspecting carcasses to determine whether they are fit for human consumption.

Meat inspectors undertake activities such as searching facilities, vehicles and places, taking samples, and condemning any animal or meat to ensure compliance with provisions under current legislation.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for registration you must:

  • have completed a Certificate III in Meat Processing (Meat Safety) or equivalent
