On-Course Wagering or Club Betting Permit - Victoria

Description

You will require this permit if your business processes betting by bookmakers on any of the following events:

  • horse races
  • harness races
  • greyhound races
  • any approved betting event.

The granting of this permit may come with conditions. These conditions include:

  • the type of betting
  • the class of bookmakers who may conduct the betting
  • the supervision of the betting and the body who is to conduct the supervision.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit you must:

  • be a racing club licensed under Section 24a of the Racing Act
  • submit an application of the approved form
  • be willing to abide by any conditions imposed on the permit
  • have a sound financial background
  • provide any additional documentation as required by the Agency.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

The permit is subject to a condition that the holder of the permit must not obtain any financial benefit from bets made under the permit.
