You will require this licence if you operate a business or club that supplies alcohol for consumption on the premises. This licence is appropriate for pubs and clubs, as well as other businesses that supply alcohol.
An on-premises licence authorises you to:
- supply liquor on the premises during ordinary trading hours
- supply liquor between 11PM and 1AM on the following day if approved by the agency
- if authorised by the agency, to supply liquor in an open container for consumption in a food court.
Licensees who intend to extend their hours past 1am may need to apply for a Late Night (On-Premises) Licence.
An on-premises licence does not authorise you to supply alcohol for consumption off the premises (take away or retail sales).
Please consult the responsible agency for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance (if any) that may be required.
