You will require this licence if you operate a business or club that supplies alcohol for consumption on the premises. This licence is appropriate for bars and nightclubs, as well as other businesses that supply alcohol.
An on-premises licence authorises you to:
- supply liquor on the premises during ordinary trading hours
- supply liquor between 11PM and 1AM on the following day if approved by the agency
- if authorised by the agency, to supply liquor in an open container for consumption in a food court.
Licensees who intend to extend their hours past 1 AM may need to apply for a Late Night (On-Premises) Licence.
An on-premises licence does not authorise you to supply alcohol for consumption off the premises (take away or retail sales).
