You will need to comply with this code of practice to manage onsite wastewater. Wastewater is water which contains sewage generated by a single domestic household or by multi-dwelling residential, commercial, industrial or institutional facilities.

This code provides standards and guidance to ensure the management of onsite wastewater protects public health and the environment, and uses resources efficiently. This code has been written to support the onsite wastewater industry, regulators and premises owners design, install and / or manage sustainable sanitation and re-use systems.
