You will need this permit if you intend to operate an outdoor dining facility in on-street car parking bays.

A parklet is a car parking bay that has been repurposed to create space for hospitality businesses to extend their trading.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit, you must:

  • hold public liability insurance for the amount determined appropriate by Council
  • provide a detailed site plan including the material, location of drainage, type of planting/vegetation, dimensions from car parking spaces and position in relation to intersections
  • meet the location and traffic conditions as specified by Council.
