Permit to Discharge or Deposit Waste to Aquifer - Victoria

Description

You will need this permit to work on a site that discharges or deposits waste to an aquifer. An aquifer is a body of rock that holds groundwater and are permeable and porous.

This does not include sites that:

  • discharge or deposit waste according to a licence
  • inject water or chemicals for the remediation of groundwater in the aquifer according to agency guidelines
  • discharge or deposit of waste to aquifer according to greenhouse gas legislation.
