Permit to Fly Drones Commercially in National Parks - Victoria


You will need this permit to use a remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) or a drone as part of your production or at your event on Parks Victoria managed land. If you would like to use a drone in your shoot, you must be or engage a fully licensed pilot and CASA-certified operator (including for drones weighing under 2kg).

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible to apply, you must:

  • hold an Unmanned Aviation Vehicle (UAV) / Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Controllers Licence
  • hold a UAV / RPA Operator's Certificate issued by CASA
  • have a Certificate of Currency of UAV / RPA Liability Insurance.
