Description

You will require this permit if you intend to drive or move animals along a road or through a public area.

Except in case of emergency, animals may only be moved or driven during daylight hours.

Livestock includes, but is not limited to:

  • horses
  • cattle
  • swine
  • sheep
  • goats
  • deer.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

Permit holder must provide a herd declaration issued by the Department of Agriculture or a veterinary certificate issued not more than 3 months prior to application certifying the livestock are free from disease and capable of being driven a minimum of 4km per day.
