You will require this permit if you intend to plant or interfere with vegetation on a nature strip or council land. This includes, but is not limited to:
- plant flowers or shrubs
- construct a garden bed on a nature strip
- prune, trim, lop or uproot trees.
Your council may have specific restrictions on interference with significant trees - including undertaking works nearby. Significant trees have cultural, historical, or horticultural significance, have large trunk diameter, or form part of a canopy.
